Service
Description
Washing
a dog can be a messy business especially in cramped city
apartments and even in your bathroom. Wag 'N wash will now
take the hassle out of cleaning the mess. No more chiropractic
visits, plumbing bills and cleaning hair from bathroom stalls.
You just bring the dog in and we clean up the mess.
And it will be
inexpensive to keep your dog clean…Self-service
or do it yourself bathing is only $17 for the first half hour
and $6.00 for each additional quarter hour after that.
Nail
clipping, trimming and flea or medicated shampoos are extra.
Self-service
will require an appointment at the new location.
You must call in advance so we can schedule you in the
book. Nail clipping will not require an
appointment.
Full-service
Grooming
We also
offer full-service grooming. We do not use cage
dryers. All dogs are dried by hand with our
professional high velocity or fluff driers. Every pet grooming includes
a therapeutic massaging bath with our Jet Wash, nail trimming, ear cleaning, pads trimmed,
medicated shampoo
when necessary, cologne, bandanna or bow. Pricing is
based on breed, behavior and condition of coat when pet is checked in.
Please
note: our service is highly specialized. We are not
an assembly line grooming shop which means that your pet is
given an appointment time and we guarantee your pet can be
picked up within two to three hours of drop off. We do
7-10 dogs per day; your dog is very rarely kept in a cage but
on a counter where he can feel comfortable albeit that is why
our prices are higher than the average grooming
establishment. We regard all animals as a top
priority and we pamper them as if they were our very
own. This should make you feel comfortable with our
services . "If
you want us to baby sit your dog all day, we are not the place
for you." If you are looking for a
professional and caring groom for your pet, please do call us for an appointment; we won't disappoint you.
Please be
advised we do charge accordingly for coats that are severely
matted. We also advise you that de-matting is
now $60 per hour
plus the cost of your pet's haircut.
De-matting can, in many cases, be painful, inhumane,
and labor-intensive, and we don't like to do it ,so please keep your pet's
coat maintained between grooming appointments. Please
note that we will always give you the option of a) dematting
or b) shaving to save significant dollars and will do as you
wish before we ever begin grooming your pet.
We will require
pet's vaccination history and veterinarian contact before
setting a scheduled appointment time. We will call your vet to
verify that your pet is up to date on his or her shots. This is for the safety
of the pet stylist, your pet and other pets in our salon.
Special
Services 
We offer a
wide variety of special services including: Medicated
shampoos, tooth brushing, Hot Oil Treatments
for dry and
lifeless coats, nail filing, herbal flea dips, nail dremeling
at a cost of $12.00, our
special 3-Step De-Skunking Process and The FURminator De-shedding Program.
 
Improve the
appearance of your pet and your environment by requesting the
4-Step FURminator Shedless Treatment available at Wag
'N Wash. We are an authorized facility and our staff is
trained and skilled at using this program on your pet. This is
a specialized anti-shedding treatment that dramatically
reduces the mess and clean up of unwanted pet hair. The
secret to the treatment is a special de-shedding tool designed
to stop the shedding where it begins in the undercoat of your
pet. Studies have shown the FURminator treatment can
reduce shedding in pets from 4-6 weeks (shedding periods may
vary depending on the breed and health of your pet)..And this
treatment has been endorsed by veterinarians who understand
the importance of healthy skin and coat. Please call for
an appointment today and understand that this service is in
addition to the price of your pet's regular groom.
Spay/Neuter
Information
We can help you if you are looking for low cost spay/neuter
for your pet. Wag 'N Wash advocates spaying and
neutering to reduce the amount of unwanted pets dropped at
shelters everyday and to protect the health of your pet.
Ample info is available at the info
table located at the entrance to the shop. Low cost
spay/neuter applications from Friends of Animals are available
for the asking.

Policies for Grooming Customers
In order to
book a grooming appointment with us, we ask our customers to
adhere to several strict policies. A) If you are going
to be more than 15 minutes late for your appt., please
be so kind as to call, otherwise we may schedule another pet
in your timeslot. If you are more than a half hour
late we have the right to refuse to groom your pet. B) We
are courteous enough to notify you of your impending appt. 48
hours in advance, therefore, if you have to cancel, again
please be so kind as to notify us immediately.
Cancellation after 48 hours or lack thereof will result in
a No Show. C) After one no-show, a payment of $25
will be added to your bill in addition to your pet's regular
grooming fee. After an accumulation of two no shows, a
non-refundable deposit
will be
required in order to schedule your pet for grooming and
payment for one of the missed and/or payment for the full groom will be required. You must
understand, when you don't show up, we lose income and the
opportunity to book another customer's dog who may be in dire
need of grooming. We lose income and we have bills to
pay just like our customers. We are also standing around waiting
for our next appointment. This is not fair to us or to
our other customers. There is also a $30 fee for any returned
checks.
We do
understand that emergencies arise and even the best planned
schedules are often disrupted by unforeseen emergencies,
however, we are kind, loving and respectful to your pets and
we expect the same courtesy. We prefer to spend our time
pampering your pets not enforcing policies, but we are running
a business like any other and therefore, we must make these
policies available to all our customers. When an
appointment is booked at least a week in advance, you will receive a policy statement in
the mail along with an appt. card confirming your pet's
appointment.
